Terumo Aortic has an exciting opportunity within its Manufacturing Engineering department for an Associate Manufacturing Process Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing the production processes and supporting with the planning of the production process to ensure our sales forecasts are met.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Continually review all manufacturing processes to document, measure, refine and improve process capability and improve process effectiveness
- Deliver continuous improvement programs to deliver cost savings in line with overall manufacturing objectives
- Liaise with all relevant departments on the transfer of new products into manufacturing and ensure that all the appropriate specifications and packaging materials are available
- Knowledge of FMEA and DOE processes
- Develop, initiate, and manage implementation of ECOs to address product quality, cost, and design issues
- Ensure that appropriate manufacturing test and validation is performed on materials and processes employed in the manufacture of products; ensure appropriate testing is performed to confirm the “fit and function” of products
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum HND or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
- Previous experience in a high quality manufacturing environment would be advantageous
- Knowledge of process engineering and process maintenance
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Can take a problem, analyse it and put an action plan in place
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Proven project management experience
