Associate Quality Engineer

Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit an Associate Quality Engineer to join out team. This is a new position within our Quality Engineering department and will play an important role within our team. The main responsibilities of the role are;

  • Continually review all Quality Operations processes to document, measure, refine and improve process capability and improve process effectiveness
  • Knowledge of FMEA processes
  • Implement document changes
  • Ensure that all Quality Control inspection steps have been validated and relevant TMVs have been conducted.
  • Redline approval of Quality Control product and packaging drawings in conjunction with relevant SMEs
  • Perform investigations to root cause for any Quality Operations related NCRs.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities in materials and processes; plan and perform testing to validate changes that capitalize on these opportunities; document and release changes
  • Part of the internal audit program. Be able to conduct internal audits as Lead Auditor and Team member.
  • Support the provisions of quality data/reports/charts for the Quality Forum held by the Quality Operations manager
  • Support and conduct defect awareness training
  • Support maintenance of sample library
  • Perform any other duties/tasks/projects as require by management
  • Assume other responsibilities from time-to-time in order to support plant’s strategic plan and personal career plans
  • Support TMV execution

The successful candidate will possess;

  • Minimum HND or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Relevant previous experience in a high quality manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Can take a problem, analyse it and put an action plan in place
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to work cross functionally and develop effective relationships in support of the other QA function and manufacturing
  • Must have Cleanroom experience
  • Good administration and organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of MS Office packages
