Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit an Environmental Health & Safety Associate to join our EH&S team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the EH&S Manager in maintaining an excellent EH&S policy. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to have real career growth whilst adding to a busy department.

 

The main objectives of the role are;

  • Ensure Environmental Health and Safety tasks are in accordance with company policy at all times
  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of a highly effective proactive Environmental Health Safety management system
  • Assist in ensuring a high level of visibility of Environmental Health and Safety throughout the Company
  • Assist in general administration of Environmental Health & Safety documents
  • Assist in internal audit program as required in compliance of Environmental Health and Safety
  • Assist in co-ordination of Environmental Health & Safety audit recommendations as required
  • Assist in as required the administration and training of accident and hazard reports in order to maintain a high standard of reporting and recommendations
  • Assist in taking minutes at meetings, maintaining action tracker and proactively following up on actions
  • Regularly participate in management GEMBA walks
  • Updating site information on EH&S noticeboards as required
  • Provide adhoc administration support as required
  • Assist as and when required with site evacuation
  • Support with purchase orders and invoicing
  • Co-ordinate First Aid stock and other stock requirements throughout the Company

 

 

The successful candidate will possess;

  • Experience in a similar role
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise good judgment
  • Ability to engage with people at all levels
  • Demonstrate communication skills, both written and oral
  • IT literate with proficient knowledge in MS Office
  • Be able to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
  • Basic knowledge of current Environmental Health & Safety Legislation
  • First Aid Certificate is desirable
