Terumo Aortic are looking for a proactive and organised Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Associate to join our Environmental Health & Safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and coordination skills who is passionate about supporting a safe, compliant, and positive working environment.

Working closely with the EH&S Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining EH&S systems, supporting compliance activities, coordinating safety initiatives, and helping to promote a strong safety culture across the site.

About the Role

As an EH&S Associate, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Environmental Health & Safety function. You will help maintain EH&S records, support audits and inspections, coordinate training and communication activities, and assist with site-wide safety initiatives.

This role offers a varied workload and the opportunity to make a real impact on workplace safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and continual improvement of the Environmental Health & Safety Management System.
  • Maintain EH&S documentation, records, and site document control systems.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of internal and external audits and inspections.
  • Track audit findings, corrective actions, and improvement activities.
  • Support accident, incident, hazard reporting, and monthly EH&S reporting activities.
  • Maintain risk assessment and EH&S risk registers.
  • Assist with EH&S training coordination and awareness campaigns.
  • Manage First Aider communications and awareness materials.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, maintain action trackers, and follow up on outstanding actions.
  • Coordinate management safety walks (GEMBA walks) and site safety initiatives.
  • Maintain EH&S noticeboards and employee safety communications.
  • Provide administrative support including reporting, data management, and tracker maintenance.
  • Process purchase orders and invoices for EH&S-related activities.
  • Monitor and replenish First Aid supplies and EH&S stock requirements.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities and evacuation processes.
  • Promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture throughout the organisation.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative, coordinator, or support role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Basic awareness of Environmental Health & Safety principles and best practice.
  • Positive, proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience within an Environmental Health & Safety, manufacturing, engineering, or operational environment.
  • Experience using document control systems, databases, or reporting tools.
  • First Aid certification.
