Terumo Aortic are excited to continue our early career offerings with the introduction of new Graduate Engineers into our business.

Our Graduate Engineering programme is designed to promote personal and professional growth of new engineers into our business through our various technology, procedures, and processes, and to enhance their understanding of the product development life cycle. The programme is a 24-month programme where graduates get the opportunity to work within our Research & Development department and gain valuable insight into our business. In addition to their day to day work all graduates will be further developed through a customised training programme and be supported by a mentor and line manager. Our Graduate Engineers will also be given the opportunity to apply to become a member of the IMechE.

Key Duties

  • Support with concept development

  • Support with concept evaluation

  • Create and modify CAD models in SolidWorks

  • Produce 3D printed tools, fixtures and prototypes

  • Plan testing and produce test matrices

  • Write test protocols and reports

  • Liaise with local suppliers for manufacture of tools and fixtures for testing

  • Perform development testing in R&D labs

  • Support R&D data analysis

  • Perform literature reviews on relevant topics

  • Develop and perform Test Method Validations

  • Contribute to Risk Analysis activities

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc/MSc Degree in Product Design, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.

  • Real world or class project “hands on” experience.

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Problem solving and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative. Can take a problem, analyse it and put an action plan in place.
