Terumo Aortic is seeking an ambitious Graduate Project Manager to join our busy IT Function during an exciting time of growth and expansion for the business. This is great opportunity to enhance project management skills and progress in a Global Company which manufactures medical devices.  You will be involved in delivering key projects and initiatives contributing to our exciting Growth Strategy. 

Key duties will include:

  • Support in coordinating updates and reports on scope, schedules, resources, budgets, issues, and risks in projects.
  • Assisting Project Managers to maintain accurate and auditable control documentation throughout the life cycle of the project.  
  • Support with maintaining effective communication between PMO, Project Managers and project teams. Deputising for PM’s where appropriate.
  • Plan and report performance and progress of projects using appropriate tools and techniques. Identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Deliver small to medium scale projects within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Prepare, support, and attend progress and Steer Co. Meetings   
  • Support requirement gathering sessions, development of user requirements specifications and process flow requirements.   
  • Support software and hardware acceptance testing, commissioning, and validation.
  • Facilitate stakeholder management by communicating all relevant information including decisions and prioritisations to the stakeholders.
  • Support operational readiness planning.
  • Provide post go live support during hyper-care.
  • Ensure implementation of standardised governance across all projects.
  • Maintain and follow proper IT compliance and regulatory requirements

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant field
  • Have a good working knowledge of IT systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with a variety of internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, energy, drive, commitment, determination, and a flexible approach to suit business requirements.
  • Good team player willing to be hands on as necessary.  
  • Experience in User Requirements Management, Process Improvement, Business Analysis and Systems (Hardware and Software) Acceptance Testing.
  • Experience of working within a regulated manufacturing environment advantageous.
  • Project Management knowledge beneficial but not essential as personal PM professional development career path will be encouraged and supported.
