Terumo Aortic are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our busy HR Function during an exciting time of growth and investment onsite. This is a true generalist role, with the opportunity to also support key projects and initiatives contributing to our exciting People Strategy.
Key duties will include:
- Support the HR Manager/Senior HR Advisor in providing the day to day administration of the HR function,
- Support the HR Manager/Senior HR Advisor in coaching and influencing managers from a people perspective, developing their people management / leadership skills and constructively challenging inappropriate behaviours / actions
- Work closely with all associates to provide a proactive HR service in line with business needs and values
- Provide advice and manage cases in line with business needs in a fit for purpose way with complete administration of process, ensuring risks are identified and managed
- Advise employees and line managers on policy queries and offer guidance, support and coaching to managers on employee relations issues, suggesting practical solutions
- Conduct probationary meetings, investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
- Manage ill health absence, welfares and return to work
- Assist managers with investigating the reasons for under performance and ensure improvement/development plans are put in place
- Manage maternity and paternity cases
- General administration of new starts, processing leavers and notification to payroll
- To adopt a flexible and proactive approach to work in order to support the HR Manager in delivering the HR strategy
- Provide input and support to HR initiatives and projects as required
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience of working proactively in a busy environment with a variety of differing HR issues
- Must be computer literate e g Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and time management skills, delivering results efficiently and with accuracy
- Ideally you should also have attained or be working towards a CIPD qualification
