Terumo Aortic are delighted to be hiring an exciting new role, we are looking to recruit a Managing Director – Benelux, UK & Ireland. This position will be responsible to direct, motivate and manage all sales associates across Benelux, UK & Ireland. The role will create, manage and execute a target achieving Sales & Marketing Plan to manage the existing and future product portfolio and ensure effective in-country tactical implementation of key account plans to support rapid and effective growth for the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to be responsible for the growth and success of our Benelux, UK & Ireland regions. This role will be based from Arnhem and will involve Travel.
The main responsibilities of the role are;
- Creates, manages and implements Benelux, UK & Ireland Sales strategy, including developing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers
- Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
- To achieve company sales targets
- To drive the growth of Surgical, Hybrid and Endovascular devices
- To oversee and participate in key customer operational relationships ensuring that business objectives are met
- Maintains in line operating expenditure and all related costs budget
- Manages, coaches and develops the administrative function in Arnhem, Netherlands and maintains the effective communication between sales and marketing teams, administrations teams and the Corporate Head Office
- Promotes collaboration between sales and clinical teams to promote and support the implementation of new products plus maintain presence of established products
- Keep up to date with current practices in vascular, endovascular and cardiac surgery
- Organise, plan and coordinate commercial endovascular implants
- Provide effective leadership to sales, marketing, clinical and administrative teams to ensure consistent behaviors and progress are being made in line business strategic goals
- Develop, deliver and maintain high performing teams through clear objective setting for both the teams and individuals
- To conduct regular performance reviews, documenting outcomes and providing evidence, through customer field visits, training and other development processes
- To complete the annual appraisals of direct reports, as well as, ensures that all appraisals across the Benelux, UK&I responsibility have been completed.
- To plan and deliver regular team meetings that provides strategic updates, and motivates the team
- To continually demonstrate and promotes Company’s Vision and Values, developing and encouraging all relevant associates to demonstrate these values consistently.
The successful candidate will possess;
- Undergraduate Scientific or Business degree
- 15 years solid commercial acumen ideally gained in the medical device industry with experience of leading teams effectively
- Extensive experience of successfully managing international KOL’s and distributors
- Extensive 1st and 2nd line management experience across sales, marketing, clinical and administrative functions
- Documented proven track record of increasing sales and developing high performance teams
- Experience in P&L analysis and budget management
- Post graduate Business or Management Degree
- Extensive experience of managing customer care, dispatch, warehousing and logistics teams
- Experience of managing financial year end closures and readiness for financial auditing
- Solid knowledge and experience of using SAP operating system
- Must be computer literate
- Must demonstrate drive, leadership and coaching skills
- Effective Communication skills with customer centric approach
- Driving license
- Frequent national and international travel is required
