Terumo Aortic are currently recruiting for a Nightshift Manufacturing Manager to join our global business. This is an exciting new position during a time of high investment and growth in our state of the art site. Working closely with our manufacturing and operational teams this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to add real value to a business that truly makes a difference.
The main responsibilities are;
- Responsible to lead the manufacturing operational team to support the business plan by manufacturing product to the correct quality levels; in a safe working environment and to maximise the efficient use of resources in manufacturing
- Responsible to ensure the cost of manufacturing is at or below the planned cost within the business plans
- Responsible to provide leadership and development for all staff within the operations function
- Responsible to ensure key customers, internal and external, are provided the service level required; and to ensure close collaborative relations with all internal functional teams
- Responsible to lead, develop and routinely performance manage the staff within the operational teams
- Lead and provide staff development & training support to the operational staff
- Manage resource (staff/equipment/processes) capacity in-line with the business plan (SOP plan); responding to changes in the business plans demands in a timely manner Provide long term resource plans based on fiscal plans
- Manage and report of the key operational metrics, including but not limited to; output; yields; efficiencies; costs; capacity loading; utilisation; performance management
- Liaise with all departments on the transfer of new products into manufacturing and ensure that all appropriate specifications are available
- Ensure operational objectives on Health and Safety are delivered
- Perform other tasks as needed in support of key objectives
- Assume other responsibilities from time-to-time in order to support plant objectives and personal career development
The successful candidate will possess;
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Significant related manufacturing/production management and leadership experience
- Experience of leading a highly regulated environment (desirable)
- Strong computer skills and industry knowledge
