OEM Technical Team Lead (Internal Candidates Only)

We are seeking a highly skilled OEM Technical Team Leader to join our growing team at Terumo Aortic. This key leadership role is responsible for guiding and developing the internal OEM business team, ensuring that our OEM customers receive exceptional technical support across the full product lifecycle.

You will play a central role in supporting product quality, supply, and development activities while driving operational excellence and growth within the OEM business.

 

Key Responsibilities

As the OEM Technical Team Leader, you will:

  • Provide guidance, coaching and day‑to‑day leadership to the OEM Technical Team.
  • Act as the primary liaison for OEM customer interactions, ensuring clear communication and strong collaboration with internal stakeholders to meet commitments on quality, delivery, cost and product development.
  • Ensure all OEM products and projects comply with Terumo Aortic’s internal SOPs and quality framework requirements.
  • Develop, review and report monthly OEM KPIs, providing updates to the OEM Manager on each key account.
  • Maintain accurate costing models for all OEM products and customer business models to ensure full visibility of true COGS.
  • Build deep technical understanding of the clinical use and technical aspects of both OEM and Terumo Aortic products to support troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Produce timely, accurate project reports against delivery targets including financial, quality, timeline and safety metrics.
  • Lead resource planning and allocation within the OEM Technical Team.
  • Assess impact and requirements related to changes within the business.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to support team wellbeing and performance.
  • Undertake additional duties or projects as required to support strategic goals and personal development.
  • Promote and maintain a strong quality, safety and compliance culture.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

We're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience); Master’s degree preferred.
  • Black Belt Six Sigma qualification preferred (Green Belt minimum).
  • Significant manufacturing engineering experience within a regulated environment.
  • Strong background in strategic technical roles, product development and engineering project management.
  • Experience with Lean principles (SMED, VM, 5S, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively at all organisational levels including executive stakeholders.
  • Proven success in cross‑functional collaboration, problem‑solving and navigating ambiguity.
  • Strong computer skills and relevant industry knowledge.
