Terumo Aortic are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll & Benefits advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate remuneration and records of staff payments. This role involves managing monthly payroll inputs, employee benefits to handling pension administration and preparing reports.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities;

 

Payroll Management:

  • Manage the organization's payroll functions using the iTrent system.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all staff.
  • Handle monthly payroll inputs including overtime, shift allowances, training allowances, commissions, and other general data.

Benefits Administration:

  • Update employee benefits in the HRIS Success Factors system.
  • Administer all aspects of employee benefits, including pensions, healthcare, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Present benefits information to new associates and manage ongoing communications regarding benefits.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Update departmental overtime spreadsheets on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and updating of payroll changes.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports for Vice Presidents and Managers.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Complete P45s and P46s for Inland Revenue Online.
  • Download and process P6/P9s and student loans from Inland Revenue Online weekly.
  • Process statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, and Enhanced Maternity/Paternity pay.
  • Complete government forms for housing benefit, child benefit, CSA, jury duty, national statistics, etc., in a timely manner.

Process Improvement:

  • Assist with the review and updating of payroll processes.
  • Utilize checklists to ensure procedures are followed and updated as necessary.

Financial Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile payroll and highlight any issues to the Payroll and Benefits Lead.
  • Prepare monthly payroll journal, costing, and salary reports for the Accounts Department.
  • Prepare monthly headcount and KPI reports.

Pension Administration:

  • Manage day-to-day pension administration, including joiners, leavers, auto-enrolment, opt-outs, refunds, and file uploads to the L&G portal.
  • Prepare annual returns for pension schemes and life assurance schemes.
  • Ensure timely payment of pension contributions and handle all queries from third parties.

General Administration:

  • Maintain the payroll, pension, and rewards sections of the intranet.
  • Administer all auto-enrolment processes.
  • Provide support for all payroll-related queries on the iTrent system.
  • Manage your own administration tasks efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications;

  • Proven experience in all aspects of payroll management.
  • Proficiency in using payroll systems, particularly iTrent.
  • Computer literate with strong skills in Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of employment law.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong numerical and literacy skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
