Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit a Production Planner. The Production Planner plays a critical role in translating supply plans into executable work orders, ensuring timely and efficient production in line with customer demand, inventory targets, and capacity constraints. Working under the guidance of the Production Planning Manager, this role supports the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the material requirements plan (MRP) using ERP systems and Excel-based tools.

The Production Planner contributes to on-time production performance, ensures accuracy of planning data, and collaborates with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Customer Care. This role also supports key planning initiatives including SAP deployment, system optimisation, and the adoption of digital tools.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert supply plans into executable work orders through accurate and timely use of MRP systems.
  • Monitor and progress production work orders to ensure adherence to the material plan.
  • Support due date performance by tracking and escalating delays and risks.
  • Maintain and update planning data, including BOMs and item master information.
  • Conduct routine production plan reviews with manufacturing and support functions.
  • Implement and document changes resulting from engineering or commercial input.
  • Work under Cleanroom or controlled conditions when required by the production environment.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to align planning data with product lifecycle requirements.
  • Support the rollout and optimisation of SAP S/4HANA for planning-related tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system usage and implement digital tools (e.g., Power Query, Power BI) to enhance visibility and efficiency.
  • Comply with QMS procedures and support audit readiness by ensuring accurate and complete planning records.
  • Participate in site and cross-functional initiatives related to planning, scheduling, or process improvement.

 

Who You Are

  • Experience in production or supply planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP principles and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Experience supporting ERP or SAP implementations in a planning environment would be beneficial
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering change control
  • Proficiency in Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data validation
  • Desirable: Experience with Power Query and Power BI for data integration, transformation, and visualisation
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured, data-driven approach
  • Awareness of cleanroom and GMP environments is beneficial
