We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Program Portfolio Manager to lead and oversee the effective delivery of all projects and initiatives within our program portfolio. This role is pivotal in maintaining our project management framework, methodology, and governance, and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. The key responsibilities of the role are;

  • Maintain and support the project management framework, methodology, and governance within the program portfolio.
  • Lead and develop a team of Project Managers, Functional Implementation Leaders (FILs), and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Develop and institutionalize project and resource management strategies including new product introduction, risk management, change management, and issue management.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify strategic objectives and associated projects.
  • Develop business case analyses and business requirements.
  • Create and manage overall project budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide program governance and oversight on key initiatives.
  • Lead project-based process work to improve prioritised KPIs.
  • Manage and resolve risks and issues.
  • Define, implement, and maintain organization-wide project and resource management tools.
  • Manage and lead overall project status reporting for the program.
  • Facilitate appointment of project delivery team members.
  • Measure performance and progress of all projects using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators and evaluate for appropriate action.
  • Ensure continuous training and development of direct reports.
  • Collaborate across the organization to manage critical projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

 

The successful candidate will possess;

  • Degree level qualification.
  • Significant experience in leading and managing teams and projects with a record of measurable success.
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Proven success in cross-group collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with process re-engineering and organizational restructuring methodologies.
  • Strong skills in balancing competing priorities and managing constrained budgets and schedules.
  • PMP Certification preferable.
  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and organizational agility skills.
  • Strong understanding of Product Development and Manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment, preferably in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
