Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit a Quality Leader within our Product Quality department to join our Quality Assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global organization during a period of investment and growth with fantastic career opportunities.

The main responsibilities of the role are;

  • Deputise for the Quality Control department in the absence of the Quality Operations Manager
  • Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting personnel
  • Ensure clear and concise communication is given either verbally or written to all team members
  • Preparation and approval of relevant departmental procedures including introduction of new products
  • GMP verification/batch review checks in accordance with the relevant procedures
  • Identification, development and implementation of new PQA requirements, including writing SOP’s
  • Continuous review of PQA, final pack and final release processes and recommendations for improvement
  • Investigation of quality issues
  • Control of non-conforming products
  • Final release of product
  • Package inspection, box inspection and release of product into the hold area
  • Scanning and storage of product related documentation
  • Provide support to site investment where relevant
  • Training of personnel and ensuring that skills are maintained
  • Represent Quality Control at relevant meetings
  • Any other duties as specified by Quality Operations Manager

 

 

The successful candidate will possess; 

  • Extensive experience in Quality Control, Product Quality Assurance & Quality Management Systems
  • Experience of managing and motivating personnel
  • Must have a strong technical background and experience of managing a large cross functional team
  • Clean room experience preferable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritise work, meet deadlines and work in a pressurised environment
  • Competence in the use of IT technology, such as Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn other IT systems used in the Quality department
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Highly organised and forward planning
