Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager to cover the UK North for our vascular & endovascular business. As part of our UK sales team this role is to service and maintain designated territory for the purpose of selling of Vascular and Endovascular products and to encourage new business, ranging from Polyester products to infra and supra renal Endovascular, Thoracic and Custom Made Endovascular prosthesis. This is an exciting role with real reward and career progression. 

The main responsibilities of the role are; 

  • Making appointments with, visiting and detailing products to Consultant Surgeons, Consultant Interventional Radiologists, Specialist Registrars, Theatre and x-ray Sisters, Radiographers, and Supplies Managers. Making journey and territory plans throughout the product specialist’s geographical area
  • Attendance at all relevant exhibitions as required
  • Organise and run study days and symposia for medical and nursing staff as discussed with the Country Manager – UK and Ireland
  • Organise In service training for nursing staff as and when required
  • Attendance & participation in quarterly sales meetings
  • Hospitality of customers as and when required
  • Gaining business, both incremental sales and new business across the region
  • Working with UK sales team to promote new products
  • Provide clinical instruction and support in operating theatres
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the territory sales representatives
  • Discuss any price changes with the Country Manager – UK and Ireland
  • Discuss customer sponsorship with the Country Manager – UK and Ireland
  • Externally liaises frequently with Consultant Surgeons, Consultant Interventional Radiologists, Specialist Registrars, Theatre and x-ray Sisters, Radiographers and Supplies Managers
  • Territorial travel involved, with occasional national & international travel

The successful candidate will possess; 

  • Degree qualified, preferably within a medical or scientific background
  • Preferably a medical or scientific background eg as a radiographer with experience of vascular interventional procedures or as a nurse with radiology, vascular or theatre experience
  • Teaching/training experience would be advantageous
  • People Management experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Commercial experience of vascular grafts, stents or catheters would be advantageous
  • Intermediate computer skills advantageous
  • Driving licence essential - clean licence preferred
  • Professional attitude is essential for acceptance and credibility
