Terumo Aortic are looking for a Technician to join their Research and Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for aiding the development of Class Ill medical devices in accordance with relevant procedures through provision of test support to product development teams. They will also be responsible for maintaining awareness of the relevance and importance of activities performed and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.

Key Duties include:

• Under supervision perform mechanical and chemical testing as part of verification and validation efforts in the development of vascular medical devices
• Operate and maintain scientific equipment such as mechanical testing units, lab microscopes, analytical equipment, balances
• Creation of test protocols and reports following established templates
• Liaise with product development teams throughout product development lifecycle
• Participate in project meetings
• Liaise with manufacturing engineers during design transfer and process validation stages of the product development lifecycle
• Ensure that Product Development Laboratories are kept clean and in compliance with Health and Safety regulations at all times

Skills and Expertise required:

• Technical degree or qualification desirable
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent desirable
• Knowledge of Basic Statistical tools and data plotting (Excel based)
• Working knowledge of MasterControl system desirable
