Terumo Aortic are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will act as a technical lead to ensure stable, effective, and well-documented manufacturing processes while driving process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities;
- Continually review all manufacturing processes to document, measure, refine, and improve process capability and effectiveness.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement programs to deliver cost savings in line with overall manufacturing objectives.
- Liaise with all relevant departments to ensure smooth transfer of new products into manufacturing, ensuring all specifications and packaging materials are available.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of FMEA and DOE processes.
- Develop, initiate, and manage the implementation of ECOs to address product quality, cost, and design issues.
- Ensure appropriate manufacturing test and validation are performed on materials and processes; confirm the ‘fit and function’ of products.
- Generate drawings when required and review/approve artwork to ensure correct implementation.
- Conduct root cause investigations in response to reported product defects.
- Analyze and approve corrective actions proposed to address quality issues.
- Monitor field response to confirm the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience;
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Black Belt in Six Sigma is desirable; Green Belt is satisfactory.
- Solid manufacturing engineering experience is essential.
- Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., SMED, VM, 5S) is advantageous.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of the medical device manufacturing industry is desirable.
- Strong project management experience.
