At Terumo Aortic, we’re expanding our textiles leadership team to support growth in our operations. As a Textiles Shift Lead, you’ll run day‑to‑day operations for your shift, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient manufacture of technical/medical textiles for our cleanroom environments. You’ll lead, coach and develop a small team, uphold our Core Values, and keep the department audit‑ready at all times.

What you’ll do

  • Plan & control production: Maintain greige fabric stock in line with S&OP; ensure continuity of supply to cleanrooms; issue correct materials per Works Orders/DHR requests.
  • Lead the shift: Set equipment to standard, troubleshoot to maintain smooth runs, and support technicians to hit quality, output and uptime targets.
  • Safety first: Drive a safe working environment; complete/maintain risk assessments and COSHH reviews; monitor incidents and hazards and address trends.
  • Quality & compliance: Operate within a certified QMS (e.g., ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, MDR/MDSAP); maintain documentation to GDP/cGMP standards and a constant state of audit readiness.
  • Performance management: Deliver daily SIM/tier reporting, run stand‑ups, communicate plan changes, and complete annual PM reviews on time.
  • Continuous improvement: Champion 5S, Lean and operational improvements to maximise resource utilisation and manufacturing flexibility.
  • People leadership: Allocate resources, build skills and succession plans, and coach technicians (including trainees) to perform safely and compliantly.

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and equipment across multiple disciplines; technical or medical textiles experience is essential.
  • Supervisory/team‑lead experience (preferred) with strong coaching and communication skills.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude; confident with Excel (intermediate) and production reporting.
  • High standards in documentation control (GDP/cGMP).
  • Hands‑on experience with 5S and CI/Lean methods.
