Terumo Aortic is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Textiles Apprentice Technician, working towards a Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering in partnership with Glasgow Clyde College.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in engineering and manufacturing, especially within the medical textiles sector. You’ll gain invaluable experience in a world-leading company that designs and manufactures life-saving vascular implants.

As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll:

• Work alongside experienced engineers and textile technicians
• Learn to operate and maintain specialised textile machinery
• Understand the principles of mechanical engineering in a medical manufacturing environment
• Develop skills in quality control, precision manufacturing, and continuous improvement
• Attend Glasgow Clyde College on a day-release basis to complete your academic qualification

We’re seeking candidates who are:

• Achieved Highers (or equivalent), ideally including Maths, English, and Physics.
• Passionate about engineering and innovation
• Detail-oriented and eager to learn
• Team players with good communication skills
• Ready to commit to a structured training programme over several years (normally 2-3 years)
